I'm approaching my 14th week and pregnancy has decided to grace me with some heartburn. It is the strangest feeling. I've never had it before I was pregnant and it feels weird. To me it feels more like esophagus burn. It is above my heart and it just feels like I put icy hot on throat. Strange, but not unbearable.
I am continuing to get headaches. They are not constant anymore but now the really sharp stinging painful ones come on often and I have no warning. They make my eyes water and I can't even really keep them open. It happens at school and I just have to turn away from the kids or step in the hallway. It happened while I was driving home from work today and I almost pulled over because I'm sure it is not very safe to be driving that way but just as I was about to pull over it subsided. I could really do without those that is for sure. I'm hoping that the hormones are leveling out and they will lessen up. I'm also planning to get a massage and see if aligning my back won't help a little bit. That also is very achy. All in all though this pregnancy is going wonderfully. I can't really complain. This is everything I wanted and I'm so glad that I can say that I am a happy pregnant person and everyday my body amazes me with all that it is doing.
We go back to the doctor next Monday and I'll hear the heartbeats again. Our BIG appointment will be scheduled next Monday but it will be sometime in January. I CANNOT wait to find out what concoction of kids we will have! :) My friend, Kelly, told me that the first dream about the babies that you have when you are pregnant will tell you what you are having. That happened last week and it was so amazing!!!!!! They were so perfect and it was one of each so we will have to see! The only weird thing was the girl was 8 lb. 12 oz. and the boy was 5 lb. 12 oz., so they were very different. Of course that won't happen but it seemed so real in my dream. After Christmas it will just be a few more weeks and we will know! Can you tell I'm excited?!?!?!?!?!

Hey Casey! So glad to hear your pregnancy is going well. I think about you often, especially Monday when I was babysitting my nephews...alone. It was an experience, but overall, it went well. Your dream is interesting. If you have an 8 lb and 5 lb babies you will be lucky! My nephews were 5 lbs 4 oz and 3 lbs 14oz..so the weight difference can be there. Just go as long as you can. Cheryl went to 36 weeks and 4 days or something like that. They ended up having to induce her because of toxemia setting in. But it seems like you're doing great! So excited for you!
