Mommy's Day at Home

On December 1st I stayed home with the girls since our babysitter had had surgery and took three weeks off. We were able to cover all of the days and Wes and I only needed to take one day each. I chose this day because I had an Uppercase Living party the night before and thought it would be a good day to stay home with my ladies and relax. It was the perfect day. It was really cold and it actually snowed that day. The girls got up and were in great moods. We had fun playing all over the house and ate a yummy breakfast of pancakes and eggs. When I laid them down for their morning nap at 9:30 I snuggled into my bed with my laptop and our curtains wide open. We have a sliding door in our bedroom that goes onto our own little patio. It was so relaxing looking outside to a sunny day and just watching it snow! I was cozy in my bed with my delicious vanilla coffee (with chocolate raspberry creamer - YUMMMMMY) and just enjoyed looking outside. I thought about how I would love to stay home with my little angels every day and enjoy quiet moments like these. I would miss having a schedule but man would it be nice????

Back to the day......Stella is always the first one awake in the morning and from each nap. She woke before Mya and I tried to keep her out of the room and let Mya sleep. I was unsuccessful though because Stella just kept yelling My-Ya! She woke Mya up before she was probably ready and Missy Mya just needed a little time to adjust. Stella wanted to climb into Mya's bed with her so I put her in there. Mya still had her paci because she had trouble falling asleep.
Well, of course, Stella wanted it. She eyed it up for a while before making her move.
Inching closer...
Maybe if I kiss her she won't see the paci snatch coming.....
I don't think so....
So Mommy took it away and put it across the room. Mya just sobbed and pointed at it begging for her "paja". Just look at her pathetic face.
So Mommy gave in. What???? Could you say no to this face?
Taunting Sissy
Stella is forlorn.
But you can't keep her down for long. :)
Back to being BFFs.
Stella decides she's had enough and she's getting out of here......(actually we've seen her try this several times and so I decided that if she's going to do this I want her to know how to safely get down. I had her try like 4 times. We keep 3 oversized pillows in front of her crib just in case.)
She then thought maybe she'd like to get back in. Sorry sister!
After lunch, the girls and I headed out to Toys 'R Us to buy some of their presents. They aren't going to remember and I actually had them hold some of them while I shopped. LOL It was freezing cold that day and it interfered with their nap a little bit but they were troopers and we did well. We swung by Daddy's classroom since it is right down the road from the mall. I just let Stella walk into the room without calling Wes and he was very pleasantly surprised. You'd think Stella owned the place the way she marched in there and climbed right up on one of the student's chairs. Mya is always shy and reserved in a large crowd of unfamiliar people but she really liked sitting in the big kid chair too. She wanted to color. Stella got down and just walked around the room touching everything. The kids loved seeing the girls and one little girl, Lacey, kept coming over to kiss Stella. It was so cute! We headed home after just a few minutes and we got a late nap. They slept really good though. After getting them dinner I headed to a Pampered Chef party. It was a wonderful day!

Getting all cozy in bed with my laptop is one of my favorite things to do, but it doesn't happen too often. :)

Hilarious sequence you caught there!!
