We aren't above peer pressuring our children! LOL Layton is potty trained and so we thought maybe if they saw her going it would help interest them.
When we left that gathering we headed to Loramie to stay at Grandpa's house. The adults were going to play games that night and the girls went to bed. We were doing the gift opening the next day. The girls slept in until 8:00 that day which was wonderful. I was really impressed with how patient they were this year. I mean his tree was swallowed up with gifts and they waited!
Grandpa had run to get us some yogurt while the girls ate breakfast and he was gone a while. They started to get closer and closer to the tree and we distracted them by having them play jingle bells and sing for us. :)

Aunt Kacie said they could open her gift while they waited and she even wrapped it in Dora paper! They LOVED that! She got them an adorable outfit from a store called Zara that is in Chicago. She also got them other gifts at another family gathering but that will be in a different post.

This pic was snapped after we told her she had to wait for the rest until Grandpa got home. :)
Once Grandpa got home we opened the rest of the gifts and the girls were definitely spoiled. They got a Leap Pad, a case for it and several games/app cards, pajamas, stamps, and play-doh toys. Aunt Morgan and Aunt Kayla got them some adorable boots, jeggings, a shirt and a jacket.Wes got a new lens for our camera and I got a Kindle Fire and a Vera Bradley case for it!!!! We also were given money to buy clothes for ourselves. Kayla's boyfriend, Ryan, got a Forever Lazy. It is freakin' hilarious. It is a blanket you can wear but it really looks like a hazmat suit with a hood and matching socks. It has a zipper on the butt so you can just unzip and do your bathroom business. So funny!

Trying out his new zoom lens.

We laid the girls down for a nap and then got ready ourselves. When they woke up we got them dressed and ready so we could take a family picture. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark came over to take the picture. They also brought us all gifts, which was so thoughtful. I especially love our new ornament we got for the tree in honor of Nancy. Our first Christmas without her was hard!

We had a great weekend with all of our family and then loaded up for the two-hour trip home. Wes and I had a few more days of work ahead of us before our break would begin!

I am cracking up over Stella's wave in that 4th picture! And again, I love that back2back pic.
REALLY, really great pictures, Case! What a nice Christmas!!
Your gils are darling. I love the faces they make! I got tears in my eyes thinking of how hard it must've been to celebrate without Nancy there with you. I'm sure she was still there in spirit, loving on you all!
