Friends From the Fort

Last Friday some of our best buds came up from Fort Loramie for a trip to the zoo! Vince and Vanessa and their daughters, Kiersten and Lexie, and Ryan and Julie and their little boy, Kendall, were all here.  Ryan and Julie left their little guy, Mason, at home with a sitter because he is only 9 months old and they didn't think he'd get much out of the trip. This summer has been so stinkin' hot that we haven't used our membership as much this year as we'd have liked to so we were glad to get there.  We've never rode the train or the carousal but since we were with friends who don't ever come to our zoo we decided to do it all!  It was really fun and the kids all had a great time.  We saw every outdoor exhibit I think, visited Nature's Neighborhood and had a yummy lunch at the Carnivore Cafe.  After a great day at the zoo we headed back to our house for more catching up and pizza for supper.  We LOVED having everyone here!
