23 Weeks Today!

It has been a while since I wrote because I didn't really have that much to add.  But we went to the doctor again today so we have new information to share.  As you can see in the title of this post I am 23 weeks today.  The babies are measuring 23 weeks and 5 days and 23 weeks and 1 day respectively.  Baby A weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces and Baby B weighs 1 pound, 5 ounces.  They are actually ahead of schedule and the doctor says that twins sometimes grow faster than single babies because it is Mother Nature's way of  making up for the fact that they have less time to grow in my belly.  Everything was looking just as it should and so it was another fantastic ultrasound for us.  

We had a funny situation happen to us while we were there.  Wes and I always meet at the doctor's office because we are both coming from work.  I got there early because I had some blood work to do and he was getting there for the ultrasound at 3:15 .  They called me back early and he wasn't there yet so I asked them if we could please wait.  The tech said that we could waste some time and that I should go give my urine sample for the doctor.  When I came back she said I found your husband.  However, I had just talked to him and he said that he was a few minutes away so I thought that was weird.  I walked into the room and I was like "Ummmm that's not my husband".  You should have seen the look on the guy's face who was sitting there waiting.  He was like "Wrong woman".  Thank goodness I wasn't already in the room exposed when they let him in.  The tech and receptionist and I could not stop laughing.  My real husband showed up a few minutes later and was able to see everything. 

I go back to the doctor on March 26th  when I will be 28 weeks.  I have to go the day before to get some blood work and take the one hour glucose test.  The doctor wants the results from the blood work by the appointment the next day because they have  to give me the shot of RhoGamm since I am RH Negative.  All in all, this pregnancy is going beautifully.  I have gained somewhere between 15 and 18 pounds and I am pretty proud of that.  I don't care about gaining weight but I was hoping I wasn't going to be one of those women who looked pregnant everywhere.  I think (and have been told by others) that I am all baby.  I am enjoying having my quickly expanding basketball under my shirt!

We did finish the nursery and I do have updated belly and ultrasound pictures.  Our computer is being fixed right now and we will get it back tomorrow (I am writing this on my laptop).  Once we get that back and hooked up I will post some pictures because I'm told that is the only thing that people care about!  Until then, that's all for now!
