May 15th we went down to Fort Loramie for a wedding of some of our very good friends. Clint was a groomsman in our wedding and Wes returned the favor for him. They had a beautiful wedding and it was so much fun spending time with our friends. We haven't been able to do that in a very long time, but thanks to our awesome family the girls were taken care of and we could enjoy the rehearsal and the wedding. The girls did get to come to the reception for a bit so that they could see everyone. Aunt Morgan, Grandpa and Grandma all helped take care of them on Friday (for the rehearsal) and Saturday (for the wedding). I think of it as a huge favor, but I'm pretty sure they have been dying to do that for a awhile! ;) Here are a few pictures from Saturday morning. Mya was still napping and Stella was loving playing with Aunt Mo's cell phone and glasses. She also got to take some pictures with Daddy before he headed to
the church.
The beautiful wedding.
Party bus in between the wedding and reception.
Clint got all of the guys Converse tennis shoes as their bridal party gift. It was such an awesome idea and all of the guys changed into them for the reception. The first few pics I didn't zoom out far enough to see their shoes - DUH! Good thing the guys are good sports and let me take a few more.
Wes and Clint, the groom.
Our group consists of 8 couples that we always try to get together with. Each time we get together with our friends I leave with a mix of emotions. We always have fun with them and I really love spending time with them. I also feel very sad that we live two hours away and can't do it more often. I am so thankful that they all continue to include as if we did live there. They understand that it is tough for us to come home nowadays yet they invite us to everything just in case we can make it. These are the guys (and now their wives and families) that have been Wes' best friends since high school. I couldn't have picked better friends for him. They are all thoughtful, sincere, fun and trustworthy. Clint and Jillian are last of us to get married. The rest of our group got married within a year or two of each other and over the last year we all had children! It has been so fun to share these experiences with each other. I feel so blessed to have all of these people in our lives.
