Yesterday we decided to go to the beach at Maumee Bay. This is literally less than 15 minutes from our house and we have never gone! We just never really thought about it. We are having the girls' pictures taken there in August and our photographer suggested that we take them there before that so they could get used to the sand since they have never been to the beach. I asked my friends, Lindsay and Kelly, if they would like to meet us there with their families. Lindsay brought Payne, but her husband had to work. Kelly brought her hubby, Kris, and her kiddos, Brody, Emmy and Jax. It was a perfect day! Seriously so beautiful!! There was a little breeze and the water was super warm. We played in the sand, splashed in the water and had a picnic lunch. We stayed about 3 hours and then headed home for naps. It made for some beautiful pictures - well they would have been even better if the water would have been blue! This was probably one of my favorite things we've done all summer and we can't wait to go back!

Okay, there's a sequence of about 5 pics starting with the first "ruffle butt" pic and ending with Stella in her hat...those are fantastic pics!!! (Not that the others aren't, but those really stand out!!)
I think that about the water too. It's so ugly! Next week let's swim in the ocean and play on a white, sandy beach. LOL ;)
Wes took all of those really awesome pics! He was laying on the towel and had a great angle!
