1. You know how people begin sentences with "I think....." Well, Mya picked up on that but instead she says "I think so....." For example, she and I were rocking in the extra bedroom and she could hear Wes talking to Stella who was crying and she looked at me and said "I think so Tella crying. I think so Daddy's talking." She does this ALL the time and it makes me laugh every time!
2. I invited my parents over for dinner last week after they got back from being in Tennessee. The girls were nonstop talking filling them in on everything. Stella then excitedly shouts "Guess what, Papa?" He says what and is surprised that she knows how to use that phrase. She then says "What's that?" (pointing at something on his plate). Guess she doesn't quite get it yet.
3. Every time we go outside to play they tell me "We need to wear sunsceen so we can be safe!" I love how concerned they are with safety! One night we went to Wes' softball game and I didn't put sunscreen on because we were sitting in a shaded area. The girls started venturing out into a sunny space and so my mom put some on Mya and she then says "Now I have to go in the sun, Nana?" LOL
4. Now that we have the play room with a big closet they can't open I can rotate toys in and out so they don't get bored with things. I recently got out the lacing beads for them to try that they got for Christmas. Mya was struggling with getting the bead on the string and so she asks "Sissy, can you help me?" Stella, who is hard at work on her own stringing, says "Yeah, one second I'm busy!"
5. They call flip flops "flip pops" and bathing suits "bathing soups"! :)
6. We had to go to a check up for Stella's ears at the ENT. We have a wonderful doctor and we are so happy with him. For the days leading up to the appointment I talked to her about it so that she could be excited and not scared since they are terrified of doctors. Well, on the night before the appointment I hear them talking after they are in bed and I went in to tell them it's time to be quiet and Mya says to me "Mommy I tell Sissy that we going to Dr. Bunge tomorrow so he can check Tella's ears and she not be scared because he's really, really nice!" Word for word what I had been saying each day.......well with correct grammar!
7. We visited aunt Ashley's office one day this week and she told them that she has some charts to do. Stella wanted to sit at her "pooter" and do "charting". We heard about "charting" all day! Aunt Ashley even gave them papers and Dora stickers so it was super fun!
8. Mya asked me for a piggy back ride one night and I was being lazy and laying in bed and said I couldn't because I didn't have a back anymore. (Nice, I know!) She says, "Oh Daddy have a back so he can give me a piggy ride?" I told her yes. She then asks, "Mommy you have shoulders?" I told her yes. She says "Then I wanna ride on them." I told her they were broken. (again, nice I know). She says "I think so I needa check you back." I rolled over. She says " MOMMY YOU DO HAVE A BACK! You can give me piggy rides now!". LOL
9. Eating dinner one night Mya insists she needs to get out of her chair to get her "ba-lue baby". I said not right now. She kept insisting and I asked her why. She says "I needa kiss it so it doesn't cry before it's born." ???????
10. Stella comes running in my room one morning and stands at the side of my bed yelling "Mommy wake up! Mommy wake up! (I was facing away from her.) That didn't work so she yells "Mommy I miss you!". :)
11. We put the girls in pack 'n plays because nap time is a nightmare. They take forever to fall asleep when they can get out of their beds. After a super long time of talking and a little crying (which is very rare) I decided to go in and see what was up. I could smell poop down the hall and went in and asked who pooped. Mya cheerfully shouts "Me!!! I pooped!" Stella says "Woo wee! That's stinky! Uhgustin!" I got Mya down and changed her and then I asked them why they were crying. Mya tells me Ummm, because....because...because I missed you Mommy!" That's a trend these days. Probably because I can't wipe the smile off my face when they say it!
12. Another lunch time chat.....I'm trying to get Mya to eat and she tells me "Mommy, I can't! I'm busy." I asked her what she was so busy doing and she tells me "I checking in my field journal." Diego always checks his field journal to find out more information about animals he finds.

Oh my, I am so glad you are writing these down for them to read some day. They are freaking hilarious!
You're killin' me, Smalls! Oh. My. Gosh!!!!! Don't you dare stop writing these. I am just dying laughing here. I can't even take it! The one about the piggy back about had me peeing myself. :) :) :) Love these! And love them!
