Twin Talk Vol. 12

1. Mya holds up her white crayon after trying to color with it and says “This one doesn't work!”

2. Stella walked in on Wes going to the bathroom and comes back to tell me that she saw Daddy's tail!

3. My mom picks the girls up early from the sitter's on Fridays. She generally gets them right after lunch and then just lays them down at her house to help us save a little money. The girls sleep in pack and plays in my brothers' old bedrooms. My brother, Taylor, loved the 49ers when he was little and had a Jerry Rice action figure/doll that my girls like to carry around. Stella likes to sleep with him. LOL Shortly after my friend, Kelly, had her baby (Jayce Ryan) Stella was telling my mom all about him all day but interchanging Jerry Rice and Jayce Ryan. The next day when we took food over to Kelly's I asked Mya who the baby was that Kelly was holding and she said shouted “Jerry Rice!!!!!”. LOL

4. Mya eating rice one day for lunch - “I love Jerry Rice!” over and over.

5. Mya pulled one of their small chairs into our bedroom and sat down with a book and said “Good morning, class!” Wes and I looked at each other and asked if either or us ever said that to them or if it was in a book or show that we could think of. Neither of us could figure out where it came from and it was so stinkin' cute.

6. My friend, Lindsey had borrowed one of our jumperoos for her parents' house. Her daughter has outgrown it so they brought it back over to our house and it currently sits in the “cuh-luh-ling” room until we find a place for it. The girls asked the first day if they could sit in it and I told them that it was for babies and they are too big. Mya and I were coloring one morning and she said “I'm too big for that. That is for our baby”. I told her we don't have a baby but maybe someday we will. She replied “Yeah our baby is at Kelly's house. We need to go get Jayce Ryan.” I told her Jayce is Kelly's baby, not our's. She said “Yeah we don't want to take him. We just want to love him.” :) She's going to be a great big sister someday! Oh and Kelly, I promise we aren't going to steal your baby. My girls are just REALLY interested in him, as you can tell because he's been in a lot of my posts! :)

7. Mya hands me her pants that are inside-out. She tells me “Mommy, they are outside-out!” or sometimes they say “outside-in”.

8. They call Dora Saves the Mermaids – Dora Marbaids. :)

9. The girls were bringing their baby dolls into our bedroom and Mya threw her baby on the floor off the bed. I told her she wasn't being a good mommy to her baby. Stella marched in announcing that she pooped and Mya says “Tella isn't being a good Mommy because she pooped in her pants and that is what babies do, not Mommies”.

10. Saying goodnight one evening I told the girls I loved them as I always do. Stella shouted that she loved me too, always and ever and a lot. Then she followed it up with “Ohhhhh, you love me and I love you” like she just realized that we both love each other and it wasn't one-sided. LOL

11. The girls were taking forever to fall asleep one night and then I heard them both crying really hard so I went in to see what had happened. Mya cried to me that “Tella bited the cupcake on my jammies, otherwise I was cried” and Stella chimed in that Mya had hit her with a book. Yikes! Rough night but did my 2 year old just use the word otherwise?????? It wasn't in correct context that time but she has used it several other times since then and it has been correct!

12. We are going to visit Aunt Brittany and Uncle Troy in Columbus the weekend of October 22nd, but I already told the girls about it. We are going to Boo at the Zoo at the Columbus Zoo and then to Imagination Station because Aunt Brittany heard there is a Dora and Diego exhibit going on then. The girls ask ALL the time when we are going to "Cuh-lum-us" (Stella) or "Cluh-mus" (Mya) to see the monkey zoo and Dora and Diego and Aunt Britty and Uncle Troy?" It is going to be so much fun and I'm so excited they are excited!
