My mom purchased this book at a Hallmark store and suggested I read it. She actually tried looking for a second copy to get for Nancy before she passed away because it is a story about a little boy who experienced heaven. My mom said reading this book makes you want to go there and she hoped it would ease Nancy's mind. She wasn't able to get one before Nancy passed but did find one eventually to give to Morgan and Kayla to read. Kayla, who says she isn't a "book person", read it in one night. I did the same.It is a true story about a 3 year old boy who got a chance to visit heaven and meet Jesus while having a life threatening surgery. I'm not giving anything away by telling you that because that is what the book is about. The details this little boy gives his parents over several years are amazing and backed up in the Bible, although he hadn't heard those facts before. His dad is a Protestant minister and is blown away by what the little boy tells him. He is very careful to only ask open-ended questions so that everything the little boy tells him is actually what he saw. He randomly tells his parents details over the course of several years and this story is written by his father.
The whole story is amazing but two things really stuck with me and moved me to tears. The little boy meets his dad's grandpa who passed away decades before he was even born. They were able to find each other without ever having met before. I always believed this was true but to read this story just solidifies my beliefs and it makes me so happy. I am so thrilled to know that I will see my grandparents and Nancy again. The other HUGE detail was that the little boy's parents had suffered a miscarriage at 2 months along before he was born. He was never told about this. One night the little boy walks up to his mom and tells her he has two sisters. She tells him no that he only has his one older sister. He proceeds to tell her that this isn't true and says "Didn't you have a baby die in your belly?" The mom drops everything she is doing and focuses on her little man and this bombshell he just dropped. She tells him that yes she did have that happen but how did he know that. He tells her that he knows because he met his sister in heaven. The parents didn't know what they were having, of course so finding out that their baby is happy and okay in heaven and that she is a SHE was life altering for the parents. The little boy tells her that the little girl looks like his older sister but with dark hair and that she is okay because God adopted her. He told them that she can't wait for her parents to get to heaven someday, but that she is okay until they do.
I was absolutely bawling at this point. This is everything I have always dreamed for our sweet little angel in heaven. Someday I WILL get to meet my baby. I WILL know if it was a boy or a girl. I WILL hold my miracle in my arms. Knowing I can tell my child how very much I wanted him/her, that I was heartbroken when he/she was taken and how I think about him/her always is such a relief for me. Although, reading that book I think my baby already knows that and is smiling at me from heaven. I also felt relief knowing that I'm sure my grandma and Nancy are snuggling my little one for me while I'm here on earth.
I don't want to die anytime soon but if that is what heaven is really like then I don't have to be scared when my time comes because it really is a paradise for all of eternity! I definitely recommend this book!

That sounds like a great book... I'd love to read it.
I think kids know so much more than we could ever imagine.
