Twin Talk ~ Special Edition

As soon as I finished my last post Wes called me into our room. Poor Stel has a nasty cold and is so congested and with a barking cough. She woke up and he was snuggling her in our bed. He had things to finish and asked if I could lay with her. I happily got ready for bed and snuggled in with my little peanut. However she was NOT ready to go back to sleep (it was like 11:15!!!!). Instead she wanted to talk and talk and talk. Our conversation went a little like this:

Stella (S): Hi Mommy! Daddy go bye-bye (he walked out of the room).
Mommy (M): Yes, Daddy went bye-bye. Lay down sweetheart.
(That portion was repeated probably 10 times).
S: Ashy go bye-bye
M: Yes she is at her house sleeping like you should be!
S: Shophie (sounds like show-fee) go bye-bye
M: Yes, she is sleeping just like her Mommy.
S: Will go bye-bye
M: Yep
S: Cug (Craig) go bye-bye
M: Yes, sweetie they are all at home sleeping.
We then go through each of them and that they are "seeping" about 20 times.

I wipe her nose that is running like a faucet and set the tissue on my nightstand next to me.
S: I have it!
M: What do you want?
S: For my nose!
(I hand her the tissue)
S: I wipa nose. I wipa knee. I wipa elbow. Here go Mommy! (She did actually wipe each part.)
Again this is repeated.

Who knows where her next thought came from but we then proceeded through all the members of our family, my sister's family and the babysitter's family and other kids she watches and whether or not they like "strawbees" (strawberries). She was sure that everyone "no lika strawbees" and I assured her that actually we all love strawberries!

Finally, even though I am totally loving this time with my toddler I tell her she has to go to sleep or Mommy is going to put her back in her bed. She says no and cuddles into me. She gets really close to my face and says "Hi Mommy! I lova Mommy!" and then she slips her little hand under my back and says "I rubba back, Mommy!" Bless her sweet little heart!

And a few others that I completely forgot on my last post....

(Feb.) I make the girls a ham and cheese quesadilla. Stella LOVES it and keeps saying "quesadilla yummy!!!!!" I ask her if she really likes it and she says "Uh-huuuuuuh! Tella like quesadillllllla!"

(Feb.) They love to ask where people go when they leave the room or the house. "Where Ashy Go? Where Shophie go? etc."

(Feb.) They are really good at identifying places that we go often. When we get near the babysitter's house they announce "Lisa house" before pulling in the driveway. They also know "Nana/Papa house" and "Home" where they immediately start asking about "Milo".

(Jan.) Whenever Mya bumps or hurts any part of her body she comes to me and says "Kiss it, Mommy!" She now does it if she gets wet or Milo licks her. But I'm not complaining. I will kiss her as much as she wants! One day Wes tapped her on the butt with a package of diapers and she comes running to me and saying "Owwy butt, Mommy! Kiss my butt, Mommy!" LOL

(Feb.) When I don't want them to touch something and if it is something dirty I tell them "Don't touch it. It is yucky or dirty." Now anything they know they aren't supposed to touch they look and it and say "Ocky Duurty".

(Feb.) I am making supper and Mya is begging for "Mama Milk, Mommy" (not really sure why there is Mama before it but she always asks that way) so I hand her her cup. She drops in on the floor and a little milk comes out. Milo rushes over to lick it and she gets right in his and points her finger and screams "No Milo! No eat! Ocky Dirty ohhhhkayyyyyy!" LOL

OMGosh - hysterical! I'm sure you won't, but if you ever run out of kisses, Aunt Ashy will be happy to kiss any and all boo boos - imagined or real... even on the hiney. And P.S. - I was most definitely NOT sleeping at 11:15 on any night in a very long time. ;) I SHOULD be... but I have a serious problem with staying up too late. So you could have called and I would have told Stella all about how much my family and I love strawberries. :)
