On May 15th we went to our second Sanctus Real concert. Wes, my mom, Taylor, Amanda and I loaded up in dad's Excursion and drove to Upper Sandusky for the show. Sanctus Real is my current favorite band. They are a Grammy nominated Christian band that are based right here in Toledo, Ohio! If you haven't listened to their music I highly recommend it. Every single song has words that blow me away. They definitely hit home! Mark Graalman is the band's drummer and his oldest son is in Wes' kindergarten class this year. Mark is a super nice guy and Wes has gotten along with him really well all year. Actually, their whole family is great and Wes has LOVED having Ben in his class. Mark generously put us on the guest list for free tickets to the New Years Eve concert at Cedar Creek and again for this concert. Here is a picture of Ben and Wes at the NYE show.
Mark and Ben came out to talk to us before the show this time too but I didn't get a picture of them. Ben was so excited to have his teacher there! He is such a little cutie. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and can't wait to see them again in August when they have their show at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green. Here are just a few pics of the evening. The last two are hilarious. Taylor found this hat on a golf course and thought it would be appropriate for the show, although I wouldn't allow him to bring it in. :)
