Meet Elvis!

This year we decided to join the Elf on the Shelf craze. I thought about it last year, but decided the girls were too young. This year however, they are definitely getting it and loving it! We read the book Saturday night when we got home from our travels and named our elf, Elvis! We found him hiding on Mommy and Daddy's TV that night. :) We talked about how Elvis will be watching them everyday and then fly to the North Pole to report to Santa about how they are behaving. They know that they can talk to him and he will listen, but he won't talk back and that they are NEVER allowed to touch him or it can ruin the magic.

They love to do nice things and say "Did you see that Elvis? I'm nice!" They also love finding him in his new spots around the house. So far we've seen him on the TV, hanging on a picture frame, in a flower bouquet, in a stocking and hanging from the curtain rod. He surely is a silly elf!

We also made them a video message from Santa on the Portable North Pole so that has helped make everything very real for them. They can envision what it looks like when Elvis flies to the North Pole. I'm so excited for Christmas this year! And stay tuned to see where Elvis hides around our house!
