Our "Vacation" to Loramie!

We didn't really take a vacation this year but instead have gone on a few little trips and tried to fill our days with fun activities for the girls. This past Friday we headed down to Loramie for Wes' alumni softball tournament. It is his favorite weekend of the year because everyone comes home. They play softball Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. His class has won the whole thing 3 times so they usually make it to Sunday to play. They made it to Sunday again but unfortunately got knocked out this time. I have to say, I wasn't upset about this. This weekend was more fun for me before we had kids. Now it is just exhausting having to chase two little ladies around while Daddy plays all day. LOL It is fun to be with everyone though. I so wish we could get jobs and move down here. It is like Pleasantville and we just love being here! Maybe someday!

Friday night Wes didn't actually have to play but we headed up to the ball diamonds because his sister, Kayla, was playing. She played right field and the girls loved standing right behind the fence and yell to her. I think they may have distracted her a bit, but I know she loved having such a cute audience!
Saturday he started playing at 11:00 and then played all day long. I didn't take any pictures because I was so busy chasing the girls. I regretted leaving the camera at home because a bunch of our friends' kids were up there playing with the girls and there were tons of photo worthy moments! His mom came to the games and she and I took the girls to lunch in between games and then I headed back to my father-in-law's house to put the girls down for a nap. We went back up to the park for Daddy's 6:00 game. After the game we went back home to eat a late supper and then put the girls to bed. My awesome father-in-law came home and said he didn't mind if we wanted to go back up to the park because they had a DJ. Wes and I got back up there around 9:30 and stayed until 12:45. It was fun and a beautiful evening to be outside.

Sunday he played again at 11:00 and 12:00 but was knocked out at that point. A bunch of us girls had found a perfect shady spot where there was a little breeze and it was actually a much more relaxing day. Here are the girls with Kendall and Kiersten. Kendall is 2 months older than the girls and Kiersten is 2 months younger. Kiersten just became a big sister to Lexie Marie a month ago and Kendall will be a big brother in October.
As we left the park we took the van through a car wash and the girls thought that was super cool! :) We spent the evening relaxing with Grandpa, Aunt Kayla, Ryan and Aunt Morgan. Great-Grandma and Grandpa Theis came to visit too!
We are staying until Wednesday morning because Tuesday night Nancy will be the prayer of intentions at church and we want to be there. Thursday was actually Mike and Nancy's 21st anniversary too! Monday we spent bumming around the house and then to Sidney with Aunt Morgan. We went to Wal-Mart to pick up odds and ends. Aunt Morgie chipped a bone in her ankle during cheerleading practice last week and is stuck in a boot and on crutches. She got one of the motorized carts to get around the store and the girls loved riding with her. After Wal-Mart we went to get lunch and then to Cold Stone for some ice cream! YUM!
Wes and I watched The Lincoln Lawyer while the girls napped and we definitely recommend that movie! AWESOME! After nap we took the girls up to All About You hair salon where Wes' cousin, Ashley works. She was giving Mya her first hair cut ever, but that will be it's own post so I'm not going to share much about that. But I will share some pics of her silly sister on the way home. LOL
Wes had left a belt laying around and I'm not sure how they came up with this but Daddy decided to tie the girls together. They thought this was hilarious and just giggled and giggled. We called them Siamese twins.
After cooking and eating dinner at home we met up with Vince, Vanessa, Kiersten, Lexie, Nate, Ash and Addy to play at the park. It started raining so I had put the camera back in the van and only got one picture of Mya and Addy kissing. All the girls were soooooo cute together so I wish I would have kept the camera out!
Tomorrow we are planning to go to lunch with YaYa and YoYo and then at 6:00 we have the church service. We are thinking about staying here one more night because it will be pretty late if we try to go after church. It has been such a fun extended weekend!
