My Babies Can Read

Well not yet, but they will be able to someday soon. Grammy Jo got the girls the "Your Baby Can Read" program for Christmas. It involves watching DVDs and using flash cards. You are supposed to watch this same DVD for a month and then switch to the next one. I think there are 5 different ones and then you can rotate for review. We also have books and slider flash cards. It is pretty cool and I really hope that it works. So far, Mya watches pretty intently but Stella gets pretty easily bored. Wes and I sit and watch it with them and act all excited. They LOVE when the song Itsy Bitsy Spider is played. We will see if this really works, but we are hoping we at least spark an interest in books and reading.

The words we are working on currently are arms up, arms down, clap, eyes, mouth, nose, toes, and dog. There are others but those are our focus. If you are wondering how they can read if they can't even talk.....they would just recognize the word and point to the item (such as their mouth) or perform the word (such as arms up). Here they are concentrating so hard...
