New things this month....both girls are army crawling all over the place and getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. I'm pretty sure crawling is in our very near future. Mya does this funny pose. She rolls to her side and balances on one arm while lifting one leg in the air. She looks like she is doing a workout. It cracks us up. Stella doesn't seem to notice when things are in her way. She will scooch OVER things including one attempt to scooch over Mya. LOL They both sit up very well and can play with toys while doing so. They love their jumperoos! Mya goes nuts jumping in it, while Stella enjoys playing with the toys on it.They are also ALL about their feet! Socks do not stay on for very long before they are pulling them off to suck on them. They got a bunch of new toys for Christmas and they love playing with them (especially their music table and photo albums). They babble constantly with sounds like ba, da, ma, and ga. They also belly laugh a lot more. The best is when they can anticipate what is coming and they get so excited. Their arms and legs get going and they have the biggest smile on their face. They also do this when they see Wes or me after we've left the room. That absolutely melts my heart. You can just see how much they love us! They are becoming better nappers and regularly sleep for at least an hour at a time. Nighttime is a breeze. They rarely cry when we lay them down and if they do it is only for a few minutes and then they sleep all night!
They are fantastic eaters now. They like food, which I am so glad about. I am really enjoying making their food and the money we are saving is amazing. I knew it was cheaper, but I had no idea how much cheaper! To date we have had rice cereal, banana, avocado, sweet potato, acorn squash, butternut squash, green beans, pears, applesauce and carrots. Tuesday they will be trying ground turkey and Saturday will be egg yolks. Also coming this month is oatmeal, lentils, yogurt, chicken and cottage cheese. They eat 3 one ounce cubes at each meal. I think Mya would for sure eat more but until 9 months milk needs to be their main source of nutrients so I do not give them more because I don't want my supply to go down that much. They are also doing really well with drinking water out of their sippy cups. We hold and tip them but they are getting the hang of it. This was very tricky for some reason. We still have not teeth. The doctor said that the average age is 7 months, so any day now I guess. They chew on everything, but they've always done that. So who knows. As I've said before, I'm fine with them being toothless for a while yet for my sake.
All in all, life is fantastic. I think the saying "God's Miracle, Our Precious Gifts" sums up the way I feel about my girls. I made a calendar full of pictures of the girls for all the grandparents and for us as a Christmas gift and that was the title. I just feel so blessed!
Here are some pictures of the girls today in their adorable monogrammed onesies and matching headbands Nana got them from Bows2Cute.com.

Mya's Pose
Sniffing her sock...
Deciding it is suckable...
She was flinging her arm around and she accidentily tossed her sock in the air. It landed on her head and she was very confused. LOL
They LOVE to look at each other.
Stella attempting to crawl over Mya...
She was unsuccessful, so Mya used her as a footstool.

OMG!!!!!!! I love the outfits! I was laughing so hard looking at the sock pictures. And I love the God's Miracle saying...soooooo true! Emmy & Jax just got onesies that say "Sometimes when you wish for a miracle, you get TWO!" I will be thinking of you Monday and hoping that the school days that follow go by quickly. Take it one day at a time, and look forward to snow days when you and Wes can both be home snuggled in with Mya and Stella!!! Hugs!
