10 Months Old!

Today Mya and Stella are 10 months old. Every month I say this, but I just cannot believe how fast the time is flying. We have already started thinking about their birthday party, which makes me excited and sad at the same time. I can't wait for it to be summer so that I can be home having fun with my family every day, but that also means my sweet little babies won't be babies anymore! Here they are this morning in their super cute new summer jammies! They still look pretty tired in the first picture and I'm sure they are thinking "Come on, Mommy, it's only 7:00. Could you please not take our picture EVERY second?" Sorry ladies, you are just too cute for me to resist!Ear drops....boo!Stella crawling away...Mya is still an army crawler.Anyone who knows me well, knows I have a hard time holding on to gifts until the actual event soooooo since they aren't going to understand the whole Easter thing this year anyways we decided to give them their new walker/rider toy from "the Easter bunny". I promise I won't do this when they know what is going on.
I think that God decided to give the girls a wonderful 10 month/Easter present with the weather that we have going on right now. I cannot believe that it is 80 degrees on April 2nd. We dressed the girls in an adorable halter top with matching skirt and headband. They also had sparkly sandals and sunglasses to go with it! Can you say DIVAS???? We decided to take full advantage of the beautiful and HOT day and head to the zoo. They had put large paper mache eggs in the animals cages so that we could watch the animals go on an Easter egg hunt. My sister's family had gotten us a family membership for Christmas and we are going to get plenty of use out of it, that's for sure! Unfortunately, everyone in Toledo and the surrounding areas had the same idea today. It was a zoo at the zoo! Pushing our huge double stroller around was a problem. The girls are probably still a little young for the zoo, but I thought they would get a kick out of seeing some of the bigger animals. We didn't get to do that because it was so crowded. We ended up staying about 20 minutes and decided that we would leave because we already have a planned trip to come back next week. Hopefully it won't be so crowded then. So we left the zoo and headed to the mall. We had a few things to return and we wanted to get the snow globes from Things Remembered that the girls had gotten as a shower gift personalized (finally!). $38 later they look great! Grrrrrr. The seats in our awesome stroller can be put into 4 different positions: both facing the pusher, both facing the front, facing each other or one facing the pusher and one facing the front. We had them facing each other today and they LOVED it, although you can't tell from this picture. LOL
My mom called while I was nursing the girls in the family lounge and asked if we could please stop over with the girls because she had Will and Soph over there and she wanted to give all the kids their Easter baskets and take some pictures. Will was going to help Nana color eggs too! We got there and my mom had hidden their baskets and the girls had to find them. She hid Mya's behind the rocking chair she likes to play on and Stella's behind the magazine basket because the child loves to tear through them! They each got the most adorable pair of monkey pajamas, a bendy flower and a flower head band. (*Sidenote: the girls also got an Easter bag from our awesome babysitter, Lisa! She gave them each a stuffed animal, the same bendy flower that Nana got and some more puffs, which we love! They got peach-mango and banana ~ yummy!) We took a bunch of cute pictures of the girls and played with Will, Sophie, Aunt Ashley, Nana and Papa for a while and then headed home.Posing with Nana and PapaShowing off our shades.Wearing Papa's hat......Daddy didn't like that it was a Tigers hat, but whatever ;)Easter baskets!!!

Do you have any idea how fun it is to bang on a coffee table?????? Especially with your partner in crime!

Climbing in Sophie's seatSophie and Uncle Dub playing under the coffee table with a glass top....she loved looking up at us. Papa said she's a female so she has to break through the glass ceiling. LOLIt was a long day, but it definitely made me excited for the warm summer weather and days to spend having quality family time.
This month was full of events for the girls. They are more mobile than ever and we can never take our eyes off of them. Stella started crawling and they both pull themselves up and scoot around the house pretty well. They are excellent eaters and added some new things to their repertoire, although I do have to admit I slacked a little this month. They had blueberries again and now really like them. New foods include summer squash, zucchini, carrots, peas, toast, pineapple, kiwi, tomato, and pumpkin. Thanks for another fantastic month, my sweet little miracle babies! Daddy and I love you more than anything in this world!
