Who wants to play with toys?

Not the Rethman girls! They are totally over their toys. Water bottles still hold the spot as their favorite entertainment, however new items have caught their attention as well. They love to sit and play in their "office". This is the spot between our end table and love seat. The love seat sits at an angle leaving a small triangle between the table and chair. Mya is nearing the size of not being able to squeeze back there. They love to crawl in there and play with any of our stuff that they can reach.

They also love to climb up to one of Wes' speaker system control boxes (I'm obviously very technological with my terminology!) and turn the volume way up and then bang on the top. We obviously need to put this in another spot because we spend a good portion of every day saying "no" and moving them away from it. They love to pull on cords and cause all kinds of havoc. We did not think about babies when we purchased our entertainment center. The cords are all within their reach, with not much we can do put them away.

When they are in the kitchen they like to pull open the drawers, climb on the water bottle cases, pull themselves up on the kitchen chairs and their high chairs and open the drawer at the bottom of the oven. We bought locks for the cupboards but we don't want to drill into them because we are about to put our house up for sale. So instead we cannot let them out of our sight. It is exhausting!

It's a good thing we have a gate blocking them from the steps because that is another thing they love to do! They are pretty fast. The only problem is they like to stop and turn around to smile at you and then they don't hold on to the step. No worries though, I am ALWAYS right behind them.
