Easter Weekend ~ Saturday

Easter weekend was a very busy one but we succeeded in seeing all of our family. It was so nice to spend time with everyone. Saturday morning we left our house at 9:15 and headed to Sidney for Easter with the Theis family. That is Nancy, Wes' step-mom's family. One of Nancy's nieces had a little boy, Dorian, who was born June 27 and so he was just about a month younger than the girls. They had fun playing with him, although I'm not sure he knew what he got himself into. My girls are used to crawling all over each other and don't quite understand that other people maybe don't want that. Mya actually decked him right in the face once when trying to take his toy. I felt really bad, but he came back to play with them so he must have forgiven them. Also, another of Nancy's nieces has two daughters, Savannah and Brooklyn, who are absolutely adorable. Savannah is 5 (I think) and she was such a little mother to the girls. She loved playing with them and it was so cute. Grandma Theis wanted to take a picture with all of her great-grandchildren even though she was worried about how her eye looked. She just had a procedure done a few days before. The girls got their Easter basket from grandma and grandpa Rethman there, as well. They got some sandals, these awesome nightlights that you can put a picture in, a magnetic counting book, the cutest purse books and some money. Spoiled!

When we left Sidney we headed to Fort Loramie to visit with his Grandma and Grandpa Rethman because their get-together was the next day and we wouldn't be able to make it. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark stopped over to see the girls too. It was so nice to see them because it had been a while. We haven't made as many trips home since the girls were born because traveling with them and all of their things is a big job. Great-Grandma and Grandpa Rethman gave the girls some Easter eggs with money inside and some with candy (for mom and dad). We love to be able to put money in the girls' savings accounts for the future!

Next, we loaded up and headed to G.G. and Great-Grandpa Bergman's house, which is also in Loramie for his mom's side's gathering. There the girls got to play with their cousins, Alex (21 months), Marlie (4 years) and Layton (1 year). They also got to meet their newest cousin, Adeline (we call her Addie), who was born February 25th. G.G. and Great-Grandpa got the girls a squishy ball, a cookie and some tootsie rolls (again for mommy and daddy). Grammy Jo had given the girls a bunny outfit when she came up to visit last weekend. We had a delicious meal and just played with the kids! The girls were exhausted because they didn't get their second nap and so at about 5:00 Stella took a nap on Grammy's shoulder and then Mya followed suit at about 6:00. We finally loaded up the car at 8:15 and headed home so we could get some sleep before celebrating Easter some more the next day. We had a great day spending time with our family and we wish that they didn't live 2 hours away.

Those Easter dresses were gorgeous! I love the pic you took of Mya and Wes's mom...so sweet. And WOW, I bet that was exhausting to make so many visits, but I'm sure the family was thrilled to see you all.
