InfantSEE

Today was a busy day. I left the house around 8:20 to take Milo to get this haircut, which was so ridiculously long overdue. The poor guy has been quite neglected since the dynamic duo were born. He does get fed every day and get his Heartgard, but that's about where it ends. I feel really sorry for him and I do try to play with him but the girls are, of course, my focus. Anyways, I dropped Milo off at Pampered Pet Salon in Maumee and then headed back home. Wes had a root canal scheduled for 11:15 and needed to leave the house around 10:30. Look how handsome my hubby looked in his outfit that I got him at Old Navy. I feel like this is a first day of school picture. LOL
Kisses for his girls before he leaves.....I missed Mya's smooch. And how cute are chubby, naked babies????Don't go Daddy! We don't want your mouth to hurt!Naked playtime!
Dressed and ready for the day.
Wes stopped and picked Milo up on his way home. My doggy is so adorable!

Then it was time to head out to the girls' InfantSee eye appointment. Our pediatrician recommended that we do this. It is a free program for children under one year of age. They basically do a screening to check for any eye issues. We found a doctor in Genoa who participates in the program so it was very convenient for us. We saw Dr. Kegerize and he was wonderful. The girls were not really fans of the appointment. He shined lights in their eyes and held different prescriptions of eye glasses up to their eyes. Then he put drops in their eyes that dilated their eyes and did the same tests and they really didn't like that. He did that because he said then children relax their eyes a bit more and he can get a more accurate measure. We had to hold them throughout the check-up, because they squirmed a bunch. He said that he looks for children to be far-sighted to leave room for eye growth and they gradually become more near-sighted. That's what he would like to see. Both girls were far-sighted, although Stella was 1 or 2 levels more (which is good) than Mya. Besides that their eyes were about identical and he said everything looked great and healthy. He said they should come back when they are 3, 5 and then every year when they are in school. He said their eyes would be dilated for a few hours and so he gave us these glasses to put on them while we were outside in the sun. We had planned to take a walk around Genoa and stop at the Big Dipper, our ice cream place that just opened on Friday that we frequent A LOT in the summer.

I can't even explain to you how much I love these pictures! I had to feed the girls quick in the car before our walk and so we snapped a few pics in the car and then loaded them up in the stroller. Wes kept throwing out Back to the Future jokes......like we needed to type in 2040 in our flux capacitor. We got a good laugh out of it.

This is at home. Stella's eyes were still pretty dilated and if you look closely at Mya you can see that her left eye is dilated, but her right isn't.

You've been a busy blogger lately! I'm lovin' all the pictures. Speaking of diapered babies, I thought you were going to do cloth at home. No?
