Easters #1, 2 and 3

We had another whirlwind Rethman holiday weekend. Friday, Wes and I both had off of school. It was a good thing because I felt horrible when I woke up. I stayed in bed for most of the morning. Around lunchtime I felt slightly better and so we fed the girls and then packed up the car and headed south to Loramie. We wanted the girls to nap while we drove. We got to Wes' dad's house around 4:00 and spent the evening hanging out with Grandpa, Aunt Morgan, Aunt Kayla and Ryan. Mo braided Mya's hair again and it looked so cute!
The next morning when the girls woke up we kept them in our room until Wes could go wake up his dad and sisters so they could see the girls do the egg hunt. Mya had peed through her diaper and on her jammies so she hunted in the nude - well with a diaper of course. She proudly and loudly announced (about 10 times!) "Grandpa, I wake up!" from the top of the stairs.
They were so excited to find their adorable Easter baskets filled with goodies from Grandpa, Aunt Morgan and Aunt Kayla. They got an outfit with matching hair clips, Dora microphones, Dora coloring books and lots of yummy dried fruit (their current fav!!!) and Teddy Grahams. Thanks a million!!!!
Following the egg hunt we got ready and headed over to Great-Grandma and Grandpa Rethman's house. Her Easter was going to be held on Sunday at the same time as my family's. Wes has 3 Easter celebrations and I only have 1 so we decided that we would not miss it. Thankfully, they understood and were fine with us stopping over to visit. Aunt Kathy came to see us too! The girls hunted for some eggs and were given some money to put in their piggy banks!!
Next, we headed to Great-Grandma and Grandpa Theis' house for an Easter brunch. We had a quick meal and then headed out for some more egg hunting. Good thing the girls are obsessed with that right now! One of Wes' cousin hid a live toad inside of one of the eggs. The girls didn't really know what to think when Savannah showed them. I didn't even know it was real until it moved!!!! It was so nice to be together with all of our family, however we definitely missed Nancy. It still just seems unreal to me, like she is just going to walk in the room. I was glad we were able to be with Mike, Kayla and Morgan on this first holiday without her.
Our final Easter celebration of the day was at Aunt Terri's house to be with the Bergman clan. Again we hunted for eggs! Alex (Wes' cousin's little boy) is one year older than the girls had a big score with the eggs so his dad told him to share some with the girls. He is such a sweetheart and proceeded to put every single egg he had in Stella's basket. LOL We gave some back! They also were given bubble blowers which were a HUGE hit. We spent a lot of time on her back deck (which has an AMAZING view) blowing bubbles. The girls were trying to catch the bubbles and were so confused when they couldn't. LOL Aunt Kacie also gave the girls an Easter basket with an adorable swimsuit cover up and a Dora bathing suit! If you can't tell - they heart Dora! Wes' cousin Kyle and his wife Emily have Alex that I mentioned earlier but they also have a little boy, Charlie who is 8 months old. Stella spent some time getting to know Charlie and it was so sweet. I sure hope we have a little boy someday! Another of Wes' cousins Adam and his wife Shanna have two little girls Marlie and Layton. Marlie is 5 and just loves Wes. Most kids do! Every time we get together she finds him and spends most of the day with him. On Easter she was walking around taking everyone's picture. She instructed us to make funny faces. Check out the pics of Wes making his funny face and the one right after. LOL

We finally loaded up the car for the 2 hour drive home at 7:30 after super fun day! The girls had no nap that day so they were out immediately and slept all the way home!
