Twin Talk Vol. 2

I could probably write one of these posts every week lately! Their vocabulary has exploded and it seems everyone we see is amazed at how much they are talking and how easy it is to understand what they are saying. They keep me laughing that is for sure! I kept telling myself I would start writing these down until I decide to do a post but I didn't so I'm not putting months with them because I don't remember most of them.

1. The girls have an obsession with "ba-luckling" all buckles in the high chair, car seat, travel feeding chair, etc. One morning Wes tried to help Mya with her buckles and she became very upset and when she calmed down she informed me "Daddy ba-luckle self me". Her sentence structure was a little jacked before but she wanted him to know that she was going to be doing the ba-luckling around here.

2. When they get in their carseats they know that Mommy buckles the bottom ones and they can do the top one. Everytime when Mya is finished she gets a huge smile on her face and tells me that "Dora did it!" If I tell her "No, Mya did it" she will continue through the whole cast of Dora the Explorer.

3. Each morning after I finish Mya's hair she tells me "Mommy, I so pretty". Of course, I agree with her.

4. They both call Ashley and Craig - Ashy and Cug! :)

5. I asked Stella if she made the mess in the playroom one day and she tells me "Mommy, I no didn't!" I say, "Well, who did then?" She cocks her head to the side and tells me "I no know? Milo?"

6. Wes is getting ready to leave for a run while the girls are still eating dinner. He leans down to kiss them because they will be in bed before he gets back and Stella says "Daddy go run fast?" and he laughs and tells them that "Yes, Daddy is going for a run." After he is out of earshot Mya yells "Be careful running, Daddy." I had to run and get him so he could hear it. Melts my freakin' heart!

7. Mya is a major Mommy's girl lately. Wes isn't allowed to do anything for her if I am home. One day she is loving all over me and giving me kisses and hugs. I was smiling and telling her I loved her and she smiles really big and tells me "I make Mommy so happy!" Yes you do, sweet girl!

8. As we were getting ready to leave our Theis family Easter Stella was being silly and laying on the ground. I tell her I'm going to leave and she tells me that "I seeping, I go night". I tell her again okay I'm leaving. Several other family members play along saying good bye to me. Finally when I turn and open the door she yells "Mommy, no leave!!!! I wake up!!!!".

9. They have loved playing with phones for a long time now. Whenever they pick up a phone they generally are calling Sophie, Nana or Papa and they hold the phone with their shoulder so their hands are free. LOL They start the convo with "Hello, whoever they are calling. What you doing?"

10. I call the girls by their first and middle names often. Mya likes to repeat me and say "Tella Gace". Then she started calling her self "Mya Gace" and me "Mommy Gace". I told her she is Mya Alyse and my middle name is Lynn. Now she is "Mya Lyse" and I am "Mommy Lynn".

11. One night while giving the girls a bath I asked Stella to stand up so I could wash her booty and her who ha (that's what we call privates.....I just can't say vagina to my not quite 2 year olds lol). She stand up and farts in the process and gets this surprised "O" face and says "Mommy, did you hear that?" Mya chimes in with "Tella you farted!"

12. After an extra ornery day with several trips to the corner for Stella, we are playing in their room when Daddy comes in. He hands Mya a toy and Stel says "Daddy go in the corner!" He asks her why and she tells him "You give Mya the toy!"

13. My parents watched my girls overnight on my birthday so we could go out and then sleep in the next day. Wes went to go get them in the late morning and I stayed home in bed (I REALLY enjoyed myself the night before!). I stood at the garage door as he unloaded Mya first and as soon as she saw me she started yelling "My mommy, my mommy, my mommy" with the biggest smile on her face. He handed her to me and I set her down in the kitchen to take her coat off. She wrapped her arms around my neck and said "Mommy so pretty! (She was being sweet, because I was definitely not pretty at that point) and I love my mommy!" She showered me with kisses and hugs! Just exactly what I wanted for my birthday!

14. Whenever Stella announces to us that she has gone number two it is very loud. She shouts "Mommy/Daddy I pewped!"

15. Stella also doesn't like her hands to be dirty and so whenever she gets food on them she tells us "My hands so ticky! Ocky durrty! Goss!"

16. Every night before we put them to bed we get all ready and then snuggle in Mommy and Daddy's bed to watch Dora. They love it and we love it. Now whenever they don't want to do something or they know they are in trouble they tell us they want to "cuddle". Little stinkers, they know I can't resist that!!!!
