Proud to be Pale

On May 20th Wes and the girls attended the first annual Proud to be Pale fundraising event in honor of Erik Hartzell.  I had graduation that I am contracted to attend.  Erik passed away from melanoma one year ago.  He was only 25 years old and had a wife and a little boy.  It was incredibly heartbreaking.  Wes works with Erik's mom at Stranahan and so there was not question that we would show our support for this cause.  It was held at Olander Park and it was a HOT day!  We slathered the girls in sunscreen and I sent their big floppy sun hats.  There was a walk, a BBQ and then music and games.  They had a great time and I am really hoping that next year I can attend this event with them!
