Double Dribble

As most of you know, my husband is OBSESSED with sports. March Madness is his favorite time of year and since I've been married to him, I have to say I get pretty excited for it too. I love all the excitement, trash talk and basketball games. My dad runs an office pool that has expanded to about 175-200 people. It is a huge payout! Last year I was in first place for a long time before falling. I had all of my sweet 16 teams right!!!! Wes finished in fourth place, which was still a pretty decent payout. This year we decided to get the girls involved. Start 'em young I always say (well maybe I don't always say this but I might start ~ he he).

Wes decided that he would write the names of each of the teams on note cards and hold them out in front of the girls. Whichever card they reached for he would write on their bracket. They each had their own bracket. There are 63 games!!!!!!!!! Saying it took a while is an understatement. We had to stop several times and try a few different ways. We started on the floor and they were really excited. That lasted a few rounds and then we were having to make noises to get their attention. Eventually they were in a high chair, but we made it and they both have a complete bracket. Their team name for my dad's pool is going to be Double Dribble ~ cute, I know! We are going to combine their brackets somehow because it is a $20 entry fee. Wish them luck! I told Wes to start the acceptance process right now because Stella is probably going to be a cheerleader.....she was sooooooo not interested in this process. LOL I have another post in mind to tell you how Wes feels about cheerleaders and here's a hint it's not good.

Stella's final four is New Mexico State, Gonzaga, Missouri and Duke with Gonzaga winning it all! Go Zags!Mya's final four is Ohio State, Murray State (who the heck is that?????), Wake Forest and Siena with Ohio State winning it all! Go Bucks!
