9 Months!!!

*Please excuse Mya's improper headband placement.....Daddy put it on her this morning. LOL I cannot believe that another month has come and gone. My little angels are 9 months old today! Tomorrow is our well baby (ha!) check-up with Dr. Carmen so I will have to update their stats then. I feel like we have been at the doctor so much lately. For their first 6 months we were only their for the well visits, except one visit for Stella to get her acid reflux medicine. Once Christmas hit we have been there a ton! I hate that. I thought that breastfeeding was going to be the magic cure to keep them healthy. I just remind myself how much worse off they could have been if I hadn't nursed them.

Back to my update. New this month:
*Pulling themselves up on everything.
*New adorable babbles. Stella loves to play with her tongue in her mouth and says something that sounds like "lellow" or "gaggle" depending on how she rolls her tongue. Hilarious!!!!
*Constant talking!
*Crawling over things....for example, toys, each other, our legs...
*Sitting up in their cribs. They've been getting themselves to a sitting position while playing for a while but now quite often when we get them from their cribs they are sitting up.
*More hair for both girls!
*Constant smiles....they are very happy girls!
*Foods: blueberries (but they didn't do well with these so they only had them for one day....we will come back to them soon), lentils, cantaloupe, wheat germ, Cheerios (crushed), peas, mango and colby jack shredded cheese. We also revisited cottage cheese, which was not one of their favorites before but they like it now!

Mya Alyse is such a sweet baby. She always has been and I cannot get enough of her. She is so fun to snuggle and cuddle, although she doesn't stay still for long. She is a chubby baby, which I LOVE! She instantly smiles when she sees her sister or her parents and it melts our heart. She is becoming more and more like a child and not a baby. She wants to play with something as soon as she sees Stella with a toy or pacifier. She grabs things away from Stella all the time, especially her paci. Of course, she isn't trying to be nasty, but I think as soon as she can understand this we will work on sharing! :) She loves to eat and when she is really hungry she sort of whines/pants. It is kind of hilarious. When she knows I am about to nurse her she makes the funniest sounds in anticipation. She is also excellent with her sippy cup and so we just set it in front of her and she drinks by herself. As you saw in my Sensory Play Date post, Mya loves to explore things and doesn't mind getting dirty. Probably because she knows that she will need a bath afterward and she LOVES her baths! She is going to be my girl playing in the mud I'm sure. I love my Little Missy Mya!Stella Grace is an emotional baby. With that comes the sweetest smile and laugh you will ever see and also the most heartbreaking cry and face when she's sad. She has changed a lot and is much less dramatic. Her poor little ears have been such an issue with her. We have been referred to an ENT and we will be going to that appointment, where I fully expect to be told that she needs tubes. Our pediatrician said that she does. With all of that said, I am amazed at what a trooper she is. She is pretty much happy and only really fusses when her ears are bugging her. I sure hope that the tubes are the answer to this situation for her sake and for ours. Like I mentioned earlier she makes the cutest new sounds ("lellow" and "gaggle") and she also still growls a bunch. It is so cute, especially because it is accompanied by the happiest smile! She was the first to pull herself up and she is quite the explorer now. She wants to touch everything. She is also pretty tolerant because when Mya constantly takes her toy she pretty much just moves on and finds something else to play with until Mya comes and takes that one too. She really only fights back for the pacifier. They don't get mad at all, but they will steal each others pacis back and forth repeatedly. It happens numerous times a day, but it is still funny to watch every time. She is such a little lover and likes to snuggle more than Mya. Unlike her sister, she does not like to get dirty. She does, however, love her bath just as much as Mya does. It makes me very excited for swimming this summer. I love every minute with my little Stella Gracie Girl!

They are so beautiful and happy!! I feel your frustration with the illnesses...it's like a slap in the face, isn't it? Like, wait just a darn minute...they are supposed to be immune from everything, LOL!!!!

Can't wait to see the girls (and you) again soon so I can see all their new talents!
